2nd Annual “Diamonds & Dudes” Gala – A Night of Gratitude

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL –"Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it” (William Arthur Ward).  In gratitude, Women and Wishes has dedicated a special evening to honor and recognize four exceptional gentlemen for their outstanding contributions and commitments:  Howard Dvorkin of Consolidated Credit Counseling Services, Bill Feinberg of Allied Kitchen & Bath, James D. Franskousky, Junior Achievement Board Member and Dr. Carlos Jurado of Obstetrics & Gynecology.  Their deeds have made a difference in the lives of women and children in our community and Women and Wishes will acknowledge their achievements during the 2nd Annual “Diamonds and Dudes” Gala to be held at the spectacular Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six Resort - Pier Top on Friday, September 23, 2011.  This exquisite evening will benefit Women and Wishes whose mission is to help middle income women and their children transition through life’s challenges.

Brenda Franco, President & CEO of Franco's® Cocktail Mixes, is the Honorary Chair for the 2nd Annual “Diamonds & Dudes”. Ms. Franco says: “I am humbled, honored and excited to be asked to chair this event for Women and Wishes.  I have the chance to give back, have fun, and raise money for a good cause at the same time.”

The EMCEE for the evening is Joel Connable of TV Travel News. The Gala, which is being coordinated by Ana Vento of Events by Vento Designs, will offer guests an evening of dinner, dancing, and a silent auction.

Women & Wishes’ operation is funded through socials, fundraising efforts and the generous contributions of corporate sponsors and the private sector.  Individual tickets for the gala are available for $150.00, or $1500.00 for a table of ten. Sponsorship opportunities include a Hope Diamond Level “Title Sponsor” $10,000, $5,000 Blue Diamond Level, $2,500 Yellow Diamond Level, and a $1,500 Champagne Diamond Level.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL –Brenda Franco, President & CEO of Franco's® Cocktail Mixes, shares that her philosophy is epitomized by Robert Kirby’s quote: The mark of a true professional is giving more that you get”.  Brenda is the Honorary Chair for the 2nd Annual “Diamonds & Dudes” to be held at the spectacular Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six Resort - Pier Top on Friday, September 23, 2011.  This exquisite evening will benefit Women and Wishes, a non-profit organization that helps middle income women and their children transition through life’s challenges.

The evening will be dedicated to honoring and recognizing prominent philanthropic men for their outstanding contributions and commitment to make a difference in the lives of women and children in our community.  This event will feature a live and silent auction, with dinner, dancing, and a tribute ceremony.

Women and Wishes’ purpose is to grant the specific wishes of middle income women who meet their criteria.  The organization recognizes the lack of subsidy and intervention alternatives for this special group of women who typically do not qualify for federal, state or local assistance.

Women and Wishes’ goal is to extend a hand to assist in meeting women’s individual needs, whether confronted with divorce, job loss, medical issues, or any major challenge. They offer the gift of friendship, a willingness to listen, financial assistance, direction, and the comfort of having someone who cares.
